Active versus Idle Utilization
The following image shows overall active and idle time for each application usage.
- Date range indicated at top (blue/gray arrow)
- Workstation and User indicated
- For each application, Vendor, Application Name + Version are shown
- EXE Name shown, followed by columns revealing data embedded within, EXE Version, EXE Description, EXE Product
- Yellow highlight indicates filtering by values shown (365 and excel.exe) to provide immediate access to records of interest
- Total Usages indicates the number of times the application was opened during the reporting period
- Active Time indicates the overall amount of time the application was active, current focus of user input
- Idle Time indicates the overall amount of time the application was running but not the current focus of user input
- Idle Time also accumulates whenever a screen saver is active
- Total Time indicates the total amount of time the application was running
- The final 3 columns (not shown) the raw number of seconds of the values in the prior 3 columns

The following image shows Window Caption/Page Titles revealing moment-by-moment activity.
- The image below removes user and workstation name, each are included only removed for this display
- Start and End Page View Times indicate the second viewing began and ended
- No idle time is shown as this report shows, second-by-second, the page title of the active/focused application the user was viewing
- Page titles are shown for all applications
- The Active Seconds column details the amount of time spent before the user changed to another view
- The icons shown at top left of the image enable exporting the report directly to sortable HTML or CSV file
Concurrent Usage Comparison
The following report demonstrates maximum application daily usage comparison
- The report is split between a bar chart and detail
- Notice the red bar (Bluebeam Revu Extreme) has no usage during the reporting period
- The lower portion of the report details each usage including active and idle seconds
- The report can include up to 10 separate applications
- The specific applications to be compared are selected when the report is engaged
- The icons shown at top left of the image enable exporting the report directly to sortable HTML or CSV file
Top Users by Active Application Time
The following is a built-in Dashboard chart showing top users by active application time.
- The user names are shown in the legend located at the right side of the chart
- Report includes active time for all applications
- If a user was logged on but inactive (using screensaver or locked) their active application time will be affected
- The report can be rendered in a variety of chart formats including pie, bar and pyramid
- All Dashboard charts can be directly exported to HTML for easy sharing
Most used applications by number of times started
The following is a built-in Dashboard chart showing the most often opened applications.
- The application (exe) filenames are shown
- Report includes all user-initiated applications
- This report is based on the number of times an application is opened, not its overall usage time
- The report can be rendered in a variety of chart formats including pie, bar and pyramid
- All Dashboard charts can be directly exported to HTML for easy sharing
